Full day plans with resources

More and more websites provide comprehensive full day plans / activities with high quality resources, all free of charge. The most compelling ones are:

  • BBC Bitesize - always a good resource - now provides daily lessons for all age groups

  • TTS prepared over 100 pages long book of homeschooling tasks for EYFS, KS1 and KS2

  • Oxford OWL - provides a detailed explanation, what children should learn in each year, together with example activities, worksheets and free eBooks.

Best resources to practice maths

  • White Rose Maths prepared a very comprehensive maths learning programme. Each lesson starts with a video explaining the subject, then there is a worksheet to print out and fill, then the video continues and at the end there is also a worksheet with the answers available

  • Hamilton Trust provides a very comprehensive set of homeschooling tasks for year groups ranging from Year R to Year 6. These are organised into weekly plans, where each day (and week) builds up on top of the previous one.

  • Math Salamanders is an amazing trove of mathematical exercise worksheets - some ready-made - some generated on demand according to your parameters

  • Common Core Worksheets very similar to the above (US version)

  • timestables.me.uk allows you to print (or do online) custom made times tables (including division)

Best resources to practice English

  • Hamilton Trust again excels in the quality of prepared materials.

  • ManyBooks offers thousands of books free to download
